I presented today on IPOs to members and guests of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong.
The presentation was organized by the very active Chamber’s Financial Services Committee and was hosted by Co-Chair Mr. Henri Arslanian, Director of Prime Brokerage Consulting Services at UBS Investment Bank. Also in attendance were Mr. Philip Leung, President, and Mr. Stephen Chu, Governor.
My presentation focused on the reasons why, and how, private businesses turn into listed companies; the strategies, procedures and documentation; as well as the valuation, marketing, investor base, pricing and allocation of an IPO. It also addressed post-IPO processes, including price stabilization, investor relations, as well as financing and other activities after listing.
The presentation was attended by about 25 people. Set out below are a few photographs of the event.
